Duvessa Software Simplifies Software Estimation

LEESPORT, PA -- Oct 14, 2003 - Duvessa Software, a leading provider of software estimation tools for use case driven projects, today announced an upgrade to Estimate Easy UC™ (EEUC). EEUC™ now imports use case models directly from XDE 2003 for .Net, Java and Data Modeler.

XDE use case modelers now have the ability to perform software development estimations allowing for more accurate estimates very early in the project. Fred Rahmanian, President and Chief Technology Officer at Duvessa Software notes, "Good software estimates are a key element in successful projects. Until now, XDE users had no way to estimate their projects early in the requirements phase - EEUC fills that gap, promoting better estimates that are easy to analyze and modify."

XDE users can import UML data, create use cases and actors and modify system parameters for easy customization that meets the project's needs. XDE users can also create multiple estimations and compare them using EEUC's what-if analysis capabilities. These estimations allow the team to adjust the model to bring in the project, on time and within budget.

Currently, EEUC imports data from Rational Rose™, Rational RequisitePro™, Microsoft Visio™ and XMI 1.1.
